A Very Radical View on The Problem of Time

While there are many who write about the Physics of Consciousness, my interest lies more along the lines of a Psychology of observed Physics.
In another century this would certainly bring me to the attention of the inquisition. My bet is that an elaboration of this view will help future scientists join physics and consciousness in a unified field theory.
I will share a radical intuition (very briefly told) here with no offering of proof. While I am prepared to elaborate on this, I wish to wait for a future time and take any criticisms as they come.

If all time is "now," how do I account for my being "here?" Perhaps my current life is but my future self (G-d?) revisiting its past. It may do so as one mulling over old wounds, enjoying a pleasant memory, learning from its mistakes or making new choices. In Effect it does the very same things in my present as I do when revisiting my assumed past, searching it and identifying with it - reliving it. This psychological view violates no physics and gives a rational accounting to many religious concepts. Quite simply an elegant solution to the problem of time in my opinion. Only consciousness moves and entire histories pop into and out of quantum existence as do subatomic particles... being only a change of mind.


PS My understanding of G-d is paralleled by the largest living organism: the Redwood forest. There are many giant Redwoods, yet they share the same root system. In effect. they are one tree. Like wise we are one underneath our diversity.

On Excelling at Failure.

I have long been an admirer of failure. Many of the greatest talents were born of great failure. Einstein, Babe Ruth, the Wright brothers, Ghandi and many healers did not appear to have natural gifts in the beginning.  What they did have was persistence, a willingness to do the work, whatever it took.
There is saying that genius is 99% perspiration and only 1% inspiration. I suspect there is wisdom in that. It follows I think that to scale the heights one must love the mountain, love the journey as well as the goal. And be not to attached to the goal as its attainment might present itself a bit differently than expected.
Of course one can never fail if one does not try. In a story reminiscent of Edison, recounted in a book titled How to Heal the Sick, the authoress recounts her "calling" to heal. She also reports her attempts to do so numbered about 10,000 times with no results, until one day people started walking away from their wheel chairs and the red tipped canes of the blind were discarded. This was a lady of simple faith and extraordinary persistence who did not have the benefit of science backed research or the pragmatic systems many of us have available to  us today.
Here in EME we have fiercely argued over the method and mechanism of healing. In so doing, " We have met the enemy and he is us" as the character Pogo said. Perhaps we take ourselves to seriously and our work to lightly. We are perhaps all wounded healers seeking a resolution to a pain we can not see. Perhaps it is a primal pain of feeling our own separation. In finding our own way to deal with this, let us at least cleave to the fundamental ethic of Hippocrates to "Do No Harm." In building this on-line dream community of healers I am sure we will fail many times to live into our founding principles. Yet we must never give up nor give in to compromise.

Infogenics

 

Change as information exchange at the level of Consciousness. 

 

 

 

There is much ado about being in the present moment. I wish to question being to literal with this from a healers vantage point. Some methodologies work with dualities in direct ways such as Deep Peat processes, and some in indirect ways like Hand Actuated Mental Reconditioning (HAMR). Matrix Energetic (ME) as another example, gives us the useful view of the two-point and to look more closely at that, we might discern an expanded potential if we consider the two points as not being exclusively spatial. The two points that we hold or "measure" may as well be time based as in one point being the now and the other point being the future as a retro-causality... meaning the future as a cause of releasing or healing a condition. In the collapsing of these disparate  or antagonistic pairs, new potentials become available to manifest with the neutralization of duality. Antagonistic pairs may be conceived of as dimensional, as in this history and an alternate history or timeline, or holding in-congruent belief systems, etc.. It is questionable for me to call this kind of work "energy" work. This kind of work is at a fundamentally more causal realm than subtle energy and I have coined an alternative term of Infogenic -  meaning: born of information - as it is change born of an intelligent synthesis of information at a pre-cognitive computational level. I have elsewhere referred to this intuitive or inspirational proceeds as Bi-association, after Koestler. In terms of working with this understanding, the two poles may be complex sensory based images, condensed in symbolic form as are words, or simply assigned arbitrary space time co-ordinates (the ultimate in symbol making). One may alternate attention between these two fields or hold them in awareness together as information is exchanged and transformation initiated. This  is a long way from the meridian based methodologies that I started working with and I write this simply to mark a current understanding  It is all about consciousness.

Forgivness as the Action of Grace.

In Christianity, grace is understood by Christians to be a spontaneous gift from God to man - "generous, free and totally unexpected and undeserved" - that takes the form of divine favor, love and clemency.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines forgiveness as 'to grant free pardon and to give up all claim on account of an offense or debt'.

It was the word forgiveness that drew me into the domain of healing. Jesu often connected it with the healing work attributed to him. Even when healing the body he would add, "your sins are forgiven you." I came to see that forgiveness and healing were the same thing - a letting go, or releasing of the errors (sin - missing the mark) of self limiting belief or structures which left us in a state of self entrapment. The entrapment could be one of limiting physical emotional or mental or cultural capacity.

The releasing and restoration to optimal function is more than a matter of mechanics. Even the surgeon can not heal. It is nature that heals - a power greater than ourselves which restores according to an optimal template of design. The action of this power I understand as grace. Its origin is in a primal intelligence. It has no cause but is freely and randomly given. We may receive it and we may give it in so far as we are in harmony with the Universe. Without deserving it the Universal intelligence may bring about a healing restoration. Giving without deserving we may also mimic the universe as an extension of its healing grace.

In so doing, the power field of grace becomes stronger within us. Such strength is none other than the offering of freedom, a releasing of limitation, an intuition of the beautiful perfection of the design of intelligent energy which comprises our Universe. That which we bind, binds us. We seek justice in judgement, yet as we mature we offer freedom and abandon judgement. We do this in realization of the perfection prior to the flawed perception. As a healer we are the instrument of second chances, and a third and more. "Judge not lest you be judged" and "forgive 70 times seven said the Master." We can see these as rules and they will become our limitations as well. Or we can see these as originating from perfect freedom and possibility and they become the key to the undoing of our shackles as well.

Love and gratitude are the most frequent refrains of the New Age change makers. Yet often lost is a deeper context of meaning of forgiveness as rooted in the freedom called grace - the unchallenged bounty of a lack of limitation - which underlies the idea of spiritual liberation. In the context of Grace as freedom given, love is purified as unconditioned and gratitude as ecstatic celebration. In realizing freedom the original perfection of all things are retained and to freedom returned and thereby restored. This is the way of the healer and the sage.

Mi'dons

The Hasidim taught that within every fallen thing was a holy spark - a Divine Presence. Our Job was to find them and re-turn them to the goodness of G-d

My lord likes to play the game of hide and seek. She is ever present, but to the two eyed form, quite elusive. She can only be witnessed by the eye of the heart. She likes to dress sometimes in gossamer veils and tease me with a glimpse of her body of Bliss. At other times she hides in coarse sack cloth, intimidating and rough to the touch. Sometimes she presents herself in a garb of pleasure and sometimes a girdle of pain is all I am permitted to know of her. Sometimes she is not to be found if I forget that she has no form. Only a heart awakened to love can keep to her constant presence through time and space. Once she blinded my outer vision that I might only be able to feel for her. Once she hid in a tumor cell and multiplied insistently until I could recognize only her there. My lord hides in every form and teaches me to regard them all as but her shadow side. She seeks to establish her sovereignty in every compartment and it is only her I call to within any phenomenon, of delight or strife. Within my heart she requires her throne and willingly I construct it there. For by her indwelling only, I bear the crown of a king. Only a king has the right to embrace her and only her does a king aspire to hold. She will take no lover who does not know that she is Life, that life is her domain and boundless. To find her and call her forth from behind and within every veil is the cure for every ailment and the completion of every good. It is the redemption of the Holy sparks. I have developed a taste for this play as the more adept I become the more I know her as my very soul in flower.

My Senhal ("secret name" or lady of thought) is the Mother of all Names. She is my Friend, most intimate. Her very glance contains more bounty than a rich man's harem.  Her myriads of mantras are portals to indescribable wonders. All living are her children and her bosom their food and comfort. My prayer is always for her and her children, both to posses and please.  Truly I am the lucky one, without fame or fortune, yet finding the abode of peace in her embrace I am free in abandon.  There are more brilliant lights in the sky yet I am pleased to be her moon, for they are far and I blessedly near.  When I tire of the minds vanities I enter the silence where I lay my head on her shoulder as she lies beside me. She is my muse and in her proximity I am inspired my her mystery and drawn in fascination to know every nuance of her being - though I may never be able to tell her secrets more openly than a poet can. Poets speak about the shape of things - the person-hood - only to connect us with a living aspect behind the persona.

In the Divine Presence

The whole of the Energy Field we call reality is aware. This intelligence creates its own boundary conditions of scalar fields. Not all scalar fields are self aware for there are insufficient feedback loops. Feedback loops require a merging with other fields to increase their organizational complexity. Such complexity is achieved by a temporary dissolution of the boundary conditions of form. The dropping of boundaries are the action of loves expansion. Love then is a way of knowing or merging- of redefining boundaries of relatedness. Love is the quantum law.

Lessons to myself ... There is no opposite to love. Like light (photons) there is no anti-particle. There is only loving or a request for love (attention/admiration). If the request is not heard one can reject/deny love which is a withdrawal from relationship - and that which is defined as "other" appears dark and de-spirited (yet is our own self rejected). Further, love like the electro-magnetic spectrum is a continuum. Thus the Greeks had words for many kinds of love and the Bhakti sutras can assert bliss as the end of love, as did the followers of Provencal "courtesie." Love is our nature and is forever expressive along this continuum whether we have words or not, sufficient to mark its presence Love dissolves the constructed boundaries which give us the illusions of separate form, thus love heals our brokenness like a surgeon repairs the broken bone. There is no more profound contemplation than that of love as it leads us home to ourselves. Our real Self dwells in the embrace of all that may come. A simple prayer of I love you and thank you voids a multitude of errors the mind is heir to. Yet let us not loose common sense and become the bleeding heart. Let the love as light and lightness proceed from the heart throne as a radiance. Some have called this the practice of the Presence of G-d.

Creativity is King

This is highly speculative and I resist being to specific in its presentation as there is much I would like to explore further by myself before releasing it.

What is there in common among practices like the ME 2 point, the collapsing of anchors in NLP, the energetic focus of attention between the two hands of The Reconnection, the mixing of thought forms between hands in the HAMR method, the hemispheric synchronization methods with alternating attention between the right and left spheres of the body in EMDR and WHEE, the neutralization of polarities in Deep Peat processes, Genius Symbol work (bi-association) and the integration of polar dualities in Jungian Psychological theory?

It may have passed unnoticed that there is an underlying similarity in these different processes, but please look a little deeper. They are all ways of reversing the collapsing of the wave function into duality via the application of awareness. I am entirely certain there is an underlying principle of immense importance to be revealed here.

I suggest that these and many less obvious techniques point to a process of expanding creative insight by admixture of information - making new associations of non linear connections between sets of information. Making non linear connections between information sets is the stuff of genius, of creativity, AND of "magical" transformations which belong to the nature of time (motion/change). It is of the nature of flow, not of objects but of information as intelligence which brings about a neutralization of the polarization induced by the senses and liberates perception from old belief systems, allowing the rapid creation of new paradigms.

It is this participation in the creative act which all but defines consciousness and ideas of G-d. The enhancement of creativity is the solution to all problems of the temporal mind, which means all problems period if material limitations are artifacts of consciousness.

The Omniverse, in the search for Omniscience of Self knowledge, seeks a reconciliation of all separate/polarized objects of awareness at the level of information. The search for a "theory of everything" is an object mirror of that motivation behind creativity itself as a unifier of anomalous chaotic data into more predictable, comprehensive and integrative models.

Such a conscious integration takes place not in the liner fashion of reasoning, but by becoming both sides (viewpoints) of the equation at once in an experiential manner, and then feeling its way through to a place of harmony. This experientially felt harmony creates a new state of being-ness objectively and/or cognitively which manifest as new or unpredicted emergent patterns now capable of being observed - as through science, within the healing arts and every endeavor of entities with a reflective awareness.

Taking Life Mythically

The Universe as a psychological and relational event.

For me the all that is (Aramaic: Alaha: The Unity) is energy and energy is alive. Being alive it loves to create relationship, and relationships are personified easily for humans as mythical figures - angels, ascended masters or extra terrestrials it makes little difference as long as one's deep seated belief's are congruent with the idea.

Whether our cultural and religious myths are fact or fiction I care not. Does something about it resonate with the hearts desire (Aramaic: sabyana: will = "desire, delight, consent)? What's that about? Why do religions speak of the oneness and then populate their teachings with entities of all descriptions, yet with variance between the teachings? Why does life itself evolve such a myriad of forms which function in a grand ecological design of mutual interdependence?

I think too often our desire to be scientific leads us to speak as a materialist. The idea of having a personal relationship with aspects of the Field or Matrix is  brushed aside. It may well be that our very existence, or apparent separate existence is derived from a fundamental desire of the life-force to personify its potentialities and explore their interconnections through relationship. 

This suggests to me that a psychological  view of the universe may provide additional information as to its real nature than an essentially mechanical one even if cloaked in the language of "subtle energies." Our mythical images are like modulated carrier waves for specific informational potentials (meanings) expressed via the form.

Rationists have often criticized the personification of G-d as anthropomorphism. But what better way to begin to calibrate the the infinite than by comparison with ourselves. In so doing we reach a point where we must reach beyond our personal limits and then assimilate into ourselves these transpersonal aspects of the One Life. In any significant relationship you might notice that there is an interactive assimilation of viewpoints which may contribute to personal growth.  Like a snake we are meant to outgrow our skins. Like a butterfly emerge from the slumber of our chrysalis.

It may even come to pass that we see ourselves as a little god-like participating in the act of creating living entities - perhaps in the furtherance of bringing the entire universe to full consciousness. It may be a little like the Hasidim have said;  that everything contains a holy spark (of intelligence?) and our job is to return it (self aware?) to the creative (Self). 

Just thinking. Maybe it's the coffee talking.

The Dream Field

There seems to be a field, beyond the me of today.
It is the future calling, when the best of every dream unfolds its play.
Sometimes I abide there and from that space seem to pray.
Sometimes a time traveler seem I carrying messages back this way.
Life unfolding and to life transmitting suffers no delay.
A knowing now that death has died and our good is beyond decay.

I  am the hearth space, a heart space, enclosing fire. My world view is fire, burning in space, all aflame, a dance of flame in spaciousness born, burning itself out and to spaciousness returned. Formless and abiding remains the hearth,  kindling fire in dreams.

The Art of Love

The Law of Relationship

The common thread of Tantra as I considered it was the inter-weaving of relationships between things apparently different and their underlying unity of inter-action. Tantra welcomes things as they are. Tantra is not other than love and letting go... into deeper love communion.

The following is not meant to be definitive ... only a conversation starter.

With a little observation it should come as no surprise that every living thing follows  basic laws of relationship. Whether interpersonal, intra-personal or trans-personal, relationship is a royal road along the continuum of separation vs unity. Both the spiritual quest and the healers way's are steeped in the dynamics of relationship just as surely as are our social dynamics. The Hebrew idea of the soul as a community of voices within and the outer community as it's reflection is a good analogy here.

We may speak of love as the aspiration for a perfect relatedness, of perfect community. I would like to present briefly here, two dynamics of love which are healing and are integral to most subtle-energy based healing systems.

The first is the aspect of attention. I call this the feminine/magnetic aspect. It is most basically the desire to be noticed. Whether noticing a woman has changed her hair style, or doing mindfulness meditation, or tapping on a meridian, this first of loves aspects is brought into play. Whatever the presenting condition, its desire is to be fully noticed or attended to. If it is not, an opportunity for relationship is missed and distance is reinforced as a protective barrier. A chance for connection and union is lost or a healing missed.

The second aspect of love I deem a masculine principle of electrical charge. It is a more active form of communion expressed as admiration. That which is admired tends to persist and become stronger. It is love-ing, syntropic and it is creative. It is wise to pay attention and give attention and then up the ante to admiration. There is always something to admire, even if it is the creativity we exercise in manifesting our problems - which are what we once saw as solutions to to our suffering.  In honoring this creativity we also are affirming that this creativity may now be exercised in new ways for our betterment.

Attention itself does not bring persistence, rather it creates inclusive space for interaction as a sequential population of things to be admired. In doing so it releases what has gone before it back into the stream of possibility - rather than memory, which keeps score. Admiration selects from this stream what is most easily (comfortably) attended to, reinforcing the probability of its re-occurrence.

From this meditation we may recognize that all relationship formations are dependent on some form of communication or communion. Therefore any attention seeking form - as for example a pain or in-congruent behavior - is trying to communicate something. Perhaps even the rock is trying to communicate something to the stream which polishes it. One may inquire as to what that something is. If properly identified it may be acknowledged and released. Judgements are a mis-identification of that which seeks attention.

If a presenting condition is released, the resulting void may then present itself as a seeking for what is admirable. Finding this admirable and appropriate void filling quality may involve a journey into the deepest heart-space of desire for ourselves and for our clients.

Failings in healing or in relationships in general may be examined then, either as a failure of attention and/or failure of admiration. This is of course oversimplified and it might be well to consult a thesaurus  before disagreeing with the premise. And as always words are but pointers.

Try this formulation on for fit: Attention and admiration are an energetic currency of love-bliss. To love without co-dependence is to admire, and to be loved is to find oneself admired for what you are and for what you might become - beginning from the inside out. If ones sense of being admired is derived from the outside it is not sustainable and may even become narcissistic.
